Dr. SANJEET SONI, M.D. – Head of Department
Forensic Medicine is a vast subject, which has claimed its full share in dramatic progress of medicine during the present century. Today, forensic issues confront not only the specialist but also the young doctor treating a victim of violence in a village, a consultant facing a consumer claim and an investigator seeking inform consent for a new procedure. The subject of forensic medicine has cast its mantle on every facet of the interaction between medicine and society.
The Department of Forensic Medicine in BRD Medical College began functioning in August, 1976 under the ample effort with significant contribution of Dr. C. D. Pandey, who served the department for 25 years, and retired in November 2000. It is unfortunate that, he is not more. The Mortuary is situated in the Medical College campus, nearby the department.
